Early favourites for the 2021 premiership, Carlton are at zero wins and two losses to start their season and this game against the Saints at Moorabbin is make or break for the Blues.
The Blues have a lot going for them – the likes of Maddi Prespakis and Tayla Harris starred last week as they went down to the Western Bulldogs in a thriller.
However, Prespakis, Harris and Georgia Gee will rue their missed shots in front of goal in the last quarter.
Carlton’s coach Daniel Harford labelled their performance as “awful” in his press conference.
The pressure is most certainly on Carlton, but they do go in as the $1.55 favourite at the time of publishing.
St Kilda was simply outclassed by North Melbourne, they dominated during the second quarter but failed to score after half-time.
The Saints have proven to be a bit hit and miss in their AFLW life so far, however, if Carlton doesn’t win this one then there’s real cause for concern.
Expect the Saints to put up a fight, but the Blues should be too good.
The 1-24 point margin looks about right for this one.
