Another big game from the G on Thursday night between two winless clubs.
Collingwoods flag unfurling was spoiled last week in a low-scoring effort against the Swans, making a potential 0-3 start almost unfathomable for a team that carved out a devastating warpath all the way to the flag.
The Saints, meanwhile, will feel hard done by after losing in the final minutes at The Cattery.
One could argue Ross Lyons men should have walked away with four points against Geelong, but there were still plenty of positives to draw from an eight-point loss in a tough road environment.
Just like last season, the Saints showed they will be a tough out again this year.
They werent blown out much in 2023, and with a solid defensive structure in place, it looks as though most opponents will need to work hard to finish over the top.
On attack, I thought the Saints really took the game on in the final quarter against Geelong, and if it wasnt for Patrick Dangerfields timely mark, they probably could have won.
As we know, the Pies have big problems down back. Players were left wide open last week against the Swans, which allowed Sydney to get the ball into the forward half quickly.
St Kilda is one of the best teams at moving the ball forward from their back half, and if they play with an aggressive attitude early, I think this game could have all the makings of another upset.
