Collingwood, a preliminary finalist in 2025, begins the year with some question marks around an ageing list and early injuries to key defenders Darcy Moore and Jeremy Howe. The Magpies did handle the Saints comfortably when the sides last met, winning 108–74 at Marvel Stadium in Round 15.
