Kevin Sheedy will reportedly make a return to embattled AFL club Essendon.
News Limited says 67-year-old Sheedy, a four-time premiership coach with Essendon, is expected to quit as director of Greater Western Sydney to return to the Bombers as general manager of club projects and innovation.
The deal with the Bombers is believed to be for five years and would see Sheedy sit on the club executive.
The announcement could be made as early as next week.
Sheedy’s role with the Bombers would include all facets of the club – community and corporate engagement, membership, marketing and football.
