Selwood the youngest Cat to reach 200

Geelong skipper Joel Selwood has no issues about sharing the limelight with returning Sydney superstar Adam Goodes at Simonds Stadium on Saturday night.

Selwood, 27, will become the youngest-ever Geelong player to reach the 200-game milestone on a night when much of the focus will inevitably be on how the crowd responds to Goodes, who missed last weekend’s win over Adelaide due to a relentless booing campaign from opposition fans.

The Cats and Swans players will run through a joint banner on Saturday night promoting unity, although it will also pay tribute to Selwood’s milestone game.

“We’re going to run through the banner together, we decided that as a football club and I’m really happy with that,” Selwood said on Friday.
