Selwood extends Geelong contract to 2019

Geelong skipper Joel Selwood has flagged his intention to become a one-club player by signing a contract extension until the end of the 2019 AFL season.

The 27-year-old has played 204 games for the Cats, winning three premierships, three club best and fairest awards and has been named All-Australian four times.

“Both Joel and the club are pleased to get this arrangement agreed so quickly and it seems almost certain now that Joel will spend his entire career with the Cats,” Geelong’s general manager of football Steve Hocking said.
