Scott Pendlebury’s odds shorten in 2014 Brownlow Medal betting

Collingwood’s Scott Pendlebury has moved within striking distance of the 2014 Brownlow Medal favourites according to Sportingbet’s AFL analysts, who awarded him two votes for his Round 10 performance.

Sportingbet’s analysts gave three players three votes for their Round 10 performances, with Jimmy Bartel, Jack Riewoldt and Kade Simpson all being awarded the maximum.

$1.70 Brownlow Medal favourite Gary Ablett, who was ruled not to have elbowed Liam Picken in round 10 and escaped a possible suspension, remains 4.5 votes clear of Josh Kennedy ($9) and 6.5 votes clear of Pendlebury ($10).

Sportingbet’s analysts award half votes when they can’t split certain performances, a system that has proven to balance out over the course of the season and provide a more accurate prediction of a player’s final vote numbers.
