Port Adelaide forward Jay Schulz will miss at least one AFL match after he was poked in the eye during Sunday’s AFL Showdown loss to Adelaide.
Schulz was subbed out of the game when the accidental contact resulted in a scratched cornea to his right eye.
The Power announced on Monday night that Schulz will miss Sunday’s home match against Richmond and he will also need another medical consultation.
“The decision was made after Schulz saw an eye specialist on Monday afternoon – he will have a further examination next week,” the Power said in a statement.
Schulz also posted a grizzly picture on Twitter of the injury.
“Lacerated eye and feeling very uncomfortable hopefully won’t need a stitch. Will miss this (week) hopefully be back next (week),” Schulz tweeted.
