Sam Mitchell news sees West Coast Eagle’s odds shorten for 2017 AFL Premiership

Sportsbet.com.au punters have started reacting to the news Sam Mitchell could be playing at West Coast next year, with money coming in today for the Eagles to win next year’s premiership.

The recently crowned Hawthorn Best and Fairest has today confirmed he is open to moving West, with punters backing the Eagles in from $13 to $12 for the 2017 AFL Premiership.

Hawthorn remain unchanged at $8.00 on the fifth line of Premiership betting, and is the second best backed side for the flag behind $6.50 third favourite Sydney.

GSW and the Western Bulldogs continue to head the market at $5.00.

“Punters must be confident Sam Mitchell is on the move, with money starting to flow for the West Coast Eagles to win next year’s premiership. Add Mitchell to a midfield that includes Matt Priddis, Luke Shuey and Andrew Gaff and the $12 currently on offer for the Eagles is looking pretty generous,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Bulmer.
