North Melbourne speedster Daniel Wells continues to push his case for a call-up for the Kangaroos’ big AFL clash against Sydney on Friday night.
Wells has missed the past two games for the unbeaten Roos with an Achilles injury, but coach Brad Scott told reporters on Wednesday he was optimistic the veteran midfielder would train well and prove he was fit for a recall.
Fellow veteran Drew Petrie jarred his neck in a marking contest last week but was given the all-clear for the SCG clash by a specialist earlier in the week.
