Gold Coast have suffered another blow ahead of Saturday’s AFL clash against North Melbourne, with experienced midfielder Michael Rischitelli ruled out.
Already without skipper Gary Ablett and defender Jarrod Harbrow through injury, Rischitelli arrived at Gold Coast training on crutches on Friday after injuring his ankle at training this week.
Coach Guy McKenna said Rischitelli could miss multiple weeks.
“When he walked in today on crutches, it probably said he wasn’t going to be able to get up,” McKenna said on Friday.
“He could potentially miss two to three weeks actually.”
But midfielder David Swallow remains on track to play in the match at Etihad Stadium, training lightly on Friday as he battles hip soreness.
