THE SIX POINTS
1. The Tigers will be attempting to win their first three games of a season for the first time since 1995, the year they reached a preliminary final against Geelong.

2. Richmond thrashed the Western Bulldogs the last time the sides met; winning by 70 points in round 20, 2012 at the MCG. It was the Tigers’ biggest win over the Dogs since late in 1980. Jack Riewoldt booted five goals and Trent Cotchin collected three Brownlow votes with 35 possessions and three goals.

3. The Tigers dominated the Bulldogs all over the ground, winning the total possession count 394-32 with 127 marks to 81. That win was the Tigers’ first over the Bulldogs since round 3, 2005. The Dogs have won eight of the past 10 contests.

4. Etihad Stadium is not a Tiger friendly venue. Richmond has lost seven of its past 10 games there, although the Bulldogs hold just a slight advantage in a head to head sense. The Dogs have won five times and the Tigers four – with one draw – in the 10 times they’ve met at the ground.

5. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs haven’t performed at Docklands that well in recent times either. They’ve won just three games at the venue since the start of last season from a total of 15 starts.

6. This will be the 148th clash between the sides and Richmond holds the advantage with 76 wins to 69, and two draws.
