The Tigers were expectedly up for the fight in their ANZAC Day Eve battle against the Demons, but were outclassed in the second half going down by 43 points.
It was a well-needed win for the Dockers, who got the job done in a late fourth quarter pile on against the Dogs to put some direction back in their season.
The Dockers typically travel quite well to the MCG, and have been able to get some wins against the odds in recent years, although against the odds probably doesnt apply to this battle.
Richmond has fallen into the bottom three of the competition, and whilst injuries continue to batter their squad, theres clearly an issue with the development of their youth.
Their lack of conviction in the forward half has let down their ability to capitlaise on inside 50 entries, and theyre just not suited up defensively at the moment.
The Dockers will ride off the terrific form of Nat Fyfe and Caleb Serong, who had stellar performances against the Dogs, both of whom will be looking to establish stoppage dominance.
The Dockers need to take care of the ball and impact at ground level inside 50, which is where their best football comes from, still able to kick winning scores with the second-lowest inside 50 entry average in the competition.
The Tigers need to create some chaos in transition, similar to what the Eagles did, but a lack of class and confidence will create a few too many struggles in this contest.
