Richmond Tigers vs Fremantle Dockers 2013 AFL Round 17 preview and tips

Sunday sees three games scheduled and all three should be good matches, including this one between fifth placed Fremantle up against sixth placed Richmond.

Last time the two sides met, in round 5 this year, Fremantle prevailed by a solitary point in an enthralling match at Patersons Stadium, their third consecutive win over the Tigers

Fremantle’s only loss in the past eleven weeks has been to Geelong and last week, in the WA Derby, the accounted for West Coast by a comfortable 29 points, running away with the game in the last quarter.

After a disappointing loss to North two rounds back, their first loss in five weeks, the Tigers toughed out a nine point win over the Suns in Cairns last week. A match played out in very trying conditions.

It was their first win in the tropics and tenth of the season but with Hawthorn and Sydney their next two games, the Tigers face a tough month.

Richmond have won 5 from 8 at the MCG this year but none of those victories have been against teams in the eight.

Fremantle have proven themselves to be one of the most consistent teams of the competition this year and playing away from home holds no fears for them.
