When: 19:50 | Friday 06/07/2018
Where: MCG
Preview:
After their win against the Swans, I do think the Tigers are the best side right now, but there is still a long way to go in the season.
Most of Richmond’s small forwards impress me but Kane Lambert with 27 disposals and 3 goals was sensational last week.
Adelaide’s win against the Eagles last week was huge as they were down and out at three quarter time.
Rory Sloane was quiet but will be better for the run.
His leadership and aggression around the ball will be vital against the Tigers.
KEY BATTLE: Jack Riewoldt v Daniel Talia
Riewoldt took 17 marks last week and was best on ground.
It will be much harder against the best lock down defender Talia this week.
The Verdict
Richmond have won 15 in a row at the MCG, so you couldn’t tip against them.
The Tigers have a 49-28-1 (62.8 percent) record playing within its home state after a win since 2010.

AFL News:
Richmond’s Nick Vlastuin was the only player to be slapped with a ban following AFL match review officer Michael Christian’s assessment of round 15.
Vlastuin will miss Friday night’s clash with Adelaide at the MCG after he accepted a one-game suspension for striking Sydney’s Luke Parker.
Eight other players, including Swans superstar Lance Franklin, escaped with fines for their respective misdemeanours.
Eyebrows were raised when Franklin was charged with misconduct against Tigers’ star Alex Rance and not striking after his short-arm jab to the defender’s throat.
“It was clearly an open-handed strike to the upper chest and into the neck region of Alex Rance … I didn’t like the action,” Christian told the AFL’s website.
“It was a question of the level of impact.
“Whilst Alex was inconvenienced momentarily he was able to play on, didn’t get any medical assistance and the medical report was clear.
“So it was decided on that evidence that it didn’t reach the classifiable offence table and as a consequence he was fined under the misconduct provisions.”
Franklin accepted a $1500 fine for the incident that occurred during Richmond’s hard-fought win at Etihad Stadium.
