Richmond finally broke through for a morale-boosting victory last week and will now look to build momentum against Adelaide. The Tigers controlled much of the contest against West Coast, with Noah Balta providing an important target inside forward 50 during the win. Adelaide, however, arrives with renewed belief after escaping the Showdown in dramatic fashion thanks to a late winner against Port Adelaide. Despite the result, questions remain around the Crows’ defensive structure and overall balance, particularly with injuries continuing to impact key forwards Taylor Walker and Riley Thilthorpe. Richmond still allowed West Coast plenty of inside-50 opportunities last week, which could prove costly against Adelaide’s stronger attacking unit. If the Crows can generate repeat entries and capitalise on their chances, they should create enough scoreboard pressure to challenge the improving Tigers.
