Richardson joins Tigers in AFL

Long-time AFL player manager Dan Richardson will be the new boss of Richmond’s football department.

The Tigers announced Richardson will take over from Craig Cameron as their general manager of football.

Cameron left Richmond earlier this month to work in the horse racing industry.

Richardson has strong Tigers connections – his father is three-time Richmond premiership player Barry Richardson, who is also a former coach and president at the club.

He is expected to start in his new job around March 28, when the Tigers open their season with the traditional blockbuster against Carlton.
