Sydney fullback Ted Richards will miss Sunday’s big AFL clash against West Coast in Perth after accepting a one-match ban for engaging in rough conduct against Hawthorn’s Sam Mitchell.
Richards risked being hit with a two-game ban had he unsuccessfully challenged the report.
The tribunal will sit on Tuesday after Richards’ teammate Luke Parker chose to contest a lower-range charge of rough conduct against Hawks defender Grant Birchall.
Parker will be fined $1500 unless he has the report overturned.
All other players booked during round 16 submitted early guilty pleas.
