Essendon’s Dylan Shiel is still a chance to play against Carlton this week after scans showed the star midfielder has avoided a significant hamstring injury.
Jake Stringer wasn’t so lucky, however, and will miss two to three weeks after tearing a hamstring in the Bombers’ loss to Richmond at the MCG.
“(Dylan) has pulled up sore, there’s no tear there so it doesn’t rule him out, but we won’t put him into a game if he’s a high risk getting that tear … he’ll have to pass certain parameters,” Worsfold told reporters on Tuesday.
