Ken Hinkley will take charge of Port Adelaide for the last time at Adelaide Oval on Friday night, with the Power determined to give both their long-serving coach and club great Travis Boak a fitting farewell. Last week’s disappointing 118-64 defeat to Carlton extended a tough late-season stretch, but while finals are out of reach, pride and sentiment will fuel Port’s efforts.
Gold Coast, on the other hand, remains firmly in the finals hunt despite a 111-76 loss to GWS. The Suns need at least one more victory to lock in September action, while two wins could deliver a coveted top-four finish.
