Preview:
The second of four matches set down for Saturday sees Port hosting Collingwood.
The home team surprised all last week when producing a season best effort to account for Sydney 72-54.
The win, Port’s seventh of the season and their fourth from six games at home, saw them cling to eighth spot on the ladder.
They’ll need to produce something similar again this week as their opponents Collingwood, have won the past seven encounters and nine of the last ten.
After an up-and-down season in terms of results, the Pies have enjoyed a good time of the draw recently and recorded big wins in the past three weeks over Brisbane, Melbourne and Western Bulldogs.
It has given the Pies the momentum they’ve been looking for and against a team they hold a substantial record over, they are rightly a short-priced favourite to make it four wins on the trot here.
Despite having a 2-2 record when playing away as favourites and the effort of Port last week fresh in mind, expecting Collingwood to be good enough to cover the line.

Port’s Boak pushes for AFL recall
Port Adelaide captain Travis Boak and backman Jackson Trengove are pushing to return from AFL injuries.
The Power pair trained behind locked gates on Wednesday in bids to play against Collingwood on Saturday.
Boak dislocated a finger a week ago while Trengove, part of Port’s six-man leadership group, hasn’t played since injuring a foot in round five.
Port also expect forwards Paul Stewart (back) and John Butcher (tonsillitis) to be available for their home twilight clash against the Magpies.
Goalsneak Cameron Hitchcock (ankle) also could return, leaving ruckman Jarrad Redden, who had season-ending shoulder surgery, as the sole long-termer on Port’s injured list.
“Our list is in really good shape,” Port stalwart Dom Cassisi told reporters on Wednesday, before a closed training session at AAMI Stadium.
Cassisi returned from a month-long hamstring strain in the gallant victory against Sydney last Saturday, and the ex-captain was rapt with the 18-point upset win.
“It just really emphasised to us as a playing group, the defensive side of our game – if we bring it with the right intensity we can match it with the best sides,” he said.
“We have always had belief that we’re on the right track but to be able to execute it for four quarters give us great confidence.”
But Cassisi said first-year coach Ken Hinkley had rapidly ordered the players to move on to prepare for Collingwood.
“With Ken at the helm, we won’t fall into that false sense of security,” Cassisi said.
“We turned the page pretty quickly because we have got another huge game this week.”
