Collingwood AFL skipper Scott Pendlebury remains in the frame to take on St Kilda this week despite only making a brief appearance at training on Wednesday.

Pendlebury, 27, suffered an ankle injury in the loss to Adelaide, but coach Nathan Buckley said the skipper was still every chance of taking on the Saints on Friday.

“He moved pretty well, so he’s in the mix, and he stayed in the mix because of what he did today,” Buckley said after the Pies’ main training session..

“It was quite encouraging.”
