Collingwood defender Harry O’Brien will miss round one of the AFL NAB Cup after putting his hand through a plate glass window.
Coach Nathan Buckley said O’Brien needed stitches in his little finger as a result of the accident.
Buckley added that there was nothing untoward about the accident, which happened at O’Brien’s home and he is not expected to miss more than a week.
It is the latest injury to hit the depleted Magpies, who are already without Alan Didak and Ben Johnson because of injury.
Andrew Krakouer is also having a month off to deal with some personal issues.
