North Melbourne will only play Daniel Wells in Saturday’s big AFL match against Port Adelaide if he is 100 per cent fit.
Wells suffered an Achilles injury in last weekend’s win over Brisbane.
There is some doubt over whether he will be ready for the Etihad Stadium match, but coach Brad Scott says North picked Wells because they expect him to play.
Wells surprised Scott by training on Thursday.
