North expect injured AFL pair to play

North Melbourne coach Brad Scott is confident Drew Petrie and Robbie Tarrant will play in Saturday’s AFL preliminary final against West Coast.

Tarrant was a late withdrawal from the semi-final win over Sydney with groin tightness, while Petrie suffered a corked leg in the match.

Scott also continues to talk up Daniel Wells’ chances of making a shock finals return, despite playing only two senior games this season.

“He’s feeling more confident than at any point this season of getting back out and playing, so we’ll give him every chance,” Scott said before Wednesday training.
