Star midfielder Steven Motlop is understood to have signed a two-year contract extension with Geelong, keeping him at the AFL club until at least the end of 2017.
Motlop, 24, had been linked with several other clubs, including Richmond, before deciding to remain with the Cats.
He will be eligible for limited free agency when his new deal expires in 2017.
