West Coast midfielder Andrew Gaff says Nic Naitanui’s inclusion in the preliminary 40-man All-Australian squad is well deserved.
Naitanui’s inclusion at the expense of Fremantle giant Aaron Sandilands is set to spark debate, but Gaff said his teammate’s efforts during the year deserved to be rewarded.
“He’s been unbelievable,” said Gaff, who also made the 40-man squad.
“He’s renowned for tapping it to Luke Shuey and Matt Priddis all day, but he’s also been following up around the ground as well.”
