Carlton captain Marc Murphy says his teammates need to “take a hard look at themselves” to help the club avoid damaging mental lapses in AFL matches.
Carlton are one of five teams to start the AFL season without a win, fading badly in matches against Richmond and West Coast.
Murphy says as club captain he takes responsibility for improving the club’s on-field fortunes, beginning with Saturday’s clash with Essendon at the MCG.
