Minson re-signs with Bulldogs in AFL

Western Bulldogs ruckman Will Minson has signed a new two-year deal with the AFL club.

Minson was eligible for unrestricted free agency, having spent 10 years at Whitten Oval.

But having claimed the No.1 ruck spot this year following the departure of Ben Hudson, the 27-year-old Minson was happy to sign on for two more seasons.

“I love it here and support the direction (coach Brendan McCartney) is taking this group wholeheartedly,” Minson said.

“I’ve built my career at the Western Bulldogs and look forward to being part of the future success this club will undoubtedly have.”

Minson has played 136 games for the Bulldogs since making his debut in 2004.
