Western Bulldogs ruckman Will Minson will play in Sunday’s AFL match against Geelong after his stomping charge was downgraded at the tribunal.
Minson was facing a one-match suspension for stomping Sydney midfielder Kieren Jack.
The Bulldogs argued the contact was accidental and did not have enough force to warrant the charge.
The tribunal jury decided to downgrade the offence from intentional to reckless and that, combined with his good record, meant Minson will not miss any games.
Carlton midfielder Andrew Carrazzo had intended to challenge his melee fine, but he decided not to go ahead with the case and accepted the $1200 penalty.
