Melbourne have only been able to manage the two wins this year, those victories coming over Western Bulldogs and GWS.

The Bulldogs victory came three rounds ago and was followed by a spirited performance against the Sydney Swans however, last week, Melbourne were handed a 68 point drumming by Collingwood.

Brisbane on the other hand have recorded three wins from their past four matches including two miraculous victories over Geelong and last week, North Melbourne.

On both occasions the Lions have come from well behind and stormed home.

The wins will no doubt have had a positive effect on the teams’ morale and given their recent record over Melbourne, where they have won the last three encounters by an average margin of 40 points, they’ll be too good for Melbourne here.

Brisbane have scored 100 points or more in their three recent wins and will finish too hard for Melbourne and should cover the line of -24.5
