Melbourne is now odds-on to break the longest premiership drought in the AFL after emphatically sealing its Grand Final spot with a 83-point thrashing of Geelong.
The Demons were $2.60 flag favourites before the Preliminary Finals but have shortened into $1.60 after their show of strength in Perth.
Melbourne’s Grand Final opponent will be decided tomorrow night with Port Adelaide $1.38 to book its spot in the decider with the Western Bulldogs $3.10.
Max Gawn was the big mover in Norm Smith Medal betting after the win, in to $6 equal favouritism with Christian Petracca after his five-goal, best-afield display. Gawn was $15 prior to tonight’s game.
