Greater Western Sydney have confirmed the resignation of AFL senior assistant coach Mark Williams.

GWS chief executive David Matthews announced Williams’s exit at the post-match media conference after Saturday’s loss to North Melbourne.

Matthews said the 2004 premiership coach had been an integral part of the club and wished him well for the future.

Williams is reportedly poised to join Richmond as their development coach.
