Collingwood have taken an AFL finals punt on Tyson Goldsack, recalling the veteran for Saturday’s qualifying final six months after he had a knee reconstruction.
Goldsack hasn’t played in AFL ranks this year but is among three Magpie inclusions for their Perth final against West Coast, with Adam Treloar and Jeremy Howe also summoned from lengthy injury absences.
Melbourne co-captain Jack Viney will play his first AFL game in two months in Friday night’s elimination final against Geelong, while Sydney stars Lance Franklin and Luke Parker return to meet a GWS side featuring Toby Greene and Zac Williams, who will play his first AFL game this year in Saturday’s knockout final at the SCG.
