Barely a week after leading the Brisbane Lions reserves to a premiership, 100-gamer Cheynee Stiller has been included in a six-strong group cut by the AFL club.

Stiller, 26, led the reserves to their first NEAFL-QAFL title in 11 years last weekend but was told on Friday he had been delisted along with James Hawksley, Sam Sheldon, Bryce Retzlaff and rookies Brad Harvey and Josh Dyson.

In all, seven vacancies exist on the Lions roster following Amon Buchanan’s retirement earlier this month.

In his seventh season at the club, Stiller played just one AFL game – his 100th – for the Lions this year against Sydney in round 15.

Hawksley, 23, was at the Lions for six seasons, notching 32 games including four this year.

Sheldon – son of Carlton premiership winner Ken – played 43 games since his 2009 debut while 11-gamer Retzlaff’s year was ruined by a knee reconstruction.
