TAB has today released a market on whether Lance Franklin will kick his 1000th goal this season with $4 available about the Swans champion achieving the feat.
After kicking three goals in yesterday’s massive win over West Coast, Franklin is on 976 career goals with seven rounds remaining.
While the Swans play top-of-the-table Western Bulldogs this weekend, their final six matches are against GWS (eighth), Fremantle (10th), Essendon (12th), St Kilda (11th), North Melbourne (last) and Gold Coast (14th). Franklin is $1.22 to end the 2021 short of 1000 goals.
“Buddy has kicked 32 goals in 11 games this season, which is only fractionally under his career average of 3.1 goals per game and with a favourable draw and the likelihood of at least one final, he should go awfully close if he plays every game,” TAB’s Brad Bishop said.
With Richmond falling to ninth after its loss to Gold Coast, TAB has also opened a market on whether the Tigers can end the season in ninth position with $3 available about the reigning back-to-back premier finishing immediately outside the eight.
