Collingwood’s laid-back AFL star Dane Swan has revealed his plans for the off-season, which include watching some of the world’s top DJs in Europe.

The heavily tattooed Brownlow Medallist appeared on the Nine Network’s The Footy Show on Thursday night in a suit, but not by choice.

Swan admitted he’d prefer to be in jeans, t-shirt and thongs.

The 29-year-old says he’ll also squeeze in a visit to Bali.

But not before going to a few gigs in Europe, including Amsterdam, and catching up with rapper Jay-Z’s work.

“I think I’m going to head to the (United) States first for a bit of R and R,” Swan said.

“I’ll head to the west coast and then I’m going to head off to Europe.

“I’m going to see a couple of DJs in Amsterdam. I’m going to go see Jay-Z in Belgium.

“I’m just going to float around for a little bit and come home and then I might head back to Bali.”

Swan is a proud member of Collingwood’s Rat Pack which includes his 2010 premiership teammates Alan Didak and Heath Shaw.

“We’re the main rats if you will,” Swan said.

“We do see a little bit of promise in a couple (of the younger players).

“No one has been in big enough trouble yet to come over. It’s a little bit of fun.”

Swan was handed a two-match ban by the Magpies in August 2012 for breaking a drinking ban six days before a game.

A three-time club champion, Swan recently posted a photo on Twitter of Nathan Buckley having a nap on a flight to Sydney and joked it was good to see the coach plotting the downfall of Collingwood’s opponents the Swans.

“He told me I was going to be the sub, so (he didn’t take it) really well,” Swan joked.

“Thankfully we won that week and `Bucks’ was pretty good about it. I caught him catching a couple of z’s so I thought `I’ll get him here’.

“He slipped up so I got him.”
