Katie Brennan’s eleventh-hour bid to play in the AFLW grand final has failed, with the AFL appeals board upholding her suspension.

The two-game ban for the Western Bulldogs’ skipper for rough conduct on Melbourne’s Harriet Cordner was upheld on Thursday afternoon in a two-hour hearing.

The decision means Brennan, who hasn’t attended the hearing, will not play in Saturday’s season decider against Brisbane at Ikon Park.
