Melbourne have named Liam Jurrah for Saturday’s AFL match against Sydney at the MCG.

The news comes hours after Jurrah appeared before an Alice Springs court via a video link from Melbourne.

Prosecutors have laid four extra charges against him following an alleged attack in Alice Springs earlier this year.

It will be the 23-year-old forward’s first AFL match this season after he recovered from a wrist injury.

He has spent the past fortnight playing in the VFL for the Demons’ affiliate club, the Casey Scorpions.
