The Nine Network has broadcast a video of what it alleges is St Kilda recruit Jake Carlisle snorting white powder.

On the same day Carlisle was traded from Essendon to St Kilda, TV program A Current Affair broadcast a grainy clip in which a man appears to snort white powder.

Nine allege the man is Carlisle, that he recently filmed himself, then sent the video to a friend via social media app Snapchat.

It is unclear what the white powder in the video is.
