North Melbourne’s Jack Ziebell was sent to hospital for scans after copping a heavy knock to the chest in Saturday night’s AFL clash at Etihad Stadium.
Ziebell was substituted off in the first quarter, having come off the ground in serious pain.
Radio station Triple M reported he was coughing up blood.
The Kangaroos confirmed on their Twitter account that Ziebell would have “precautionary scans”.
