CARLTON
Coach: Brendon Bolton
Captain: Marc Murphy
Last five years: 10-6-13-18-14
Premiership clock: 3 to 4 o’clock. The rebuild is on but there’s still a long way to go.
Key five: Patrick Cripps, Bryce Gibbs, Sam Docherty, Jacob Weitering, Levi Casboult
One to watch: Sam Petrevski-Seton. The No.6 draft pick offers the kind of line-breaking speed and silky ball use the Blues sorely need. Originally from Halls Creek in far-north Western Australia, the midfielder’s pre-season was disrupted when he strained his quad but he looks set to be a very handy addition.
Under the pump: Bryce Gibbs. The star midfielder dropped a bombshell in last October’s trade period when he sought a trade to Adelaide for family reasons. That guarantees plenty of attention on his form this season, especially with the Crows keen to revisit the deal down the track.
