Hawthorn have surprised by naming captain Luke Hodge in their final 22 for Sunday’s AFL match against West Coast.
It will be Hodge’s first senior game for the year after needing knee surgery in the off-season.
Hodge had said himself last month that he was unlikely to resume in the round-two clash at Patersons Stadium.
He is the only inclusion to the team that lost the epic Easter Monday match to Geelong by seven points, with Shane Savage making way for him.
The Eagles made four changes, two of them forced, after losing the western derby.
Mark LeCras is out with a broken arm and Eric Mackenzie has a hamstring injury.
Ashley Smith and Scott Lycett were dropped as the Eagles recalled Sam Butler, Mitch Brown and Bradd Dalziell.
Key forward Callum Sinclair will make his senior debut.
Geelong regained stars James Kelly and Joel Corey for the Etihad Stadium clash with North Melbourne.
Mitch Brown also comes into the side, with George Horlin-Smith dropped and Jordan Murdoch (hand) and Jared Rivers (knee) injured.
Sam Wright (knee) is out for North and Scott McMahon takes his place.
Carlton key forward Sam Rowe, who has recovered from testicular cancer, will make his AFL debut in the MCG blockbuster against arch-rivals Collingwood.
The Blues also included Jeremy Laidler, Tom Bell and Marcus Davies.
Eddie Betts (jaw) and Shaun Hampson (appendix) are unavailable and Aaron Joseph and Nick Duigan were dropped.
The ‘Pies dropped first gamers Jack Frost and Josh Thomas, with Heath Shaw and Paul Seedsman returning to the side.
