Hawthorn’s finals push continues on Saturday afternoon when they meet Melbourne at the MCG. The Hawks kept themselves in the top eight with a statement 110-46 demolition of Collingwood last week, making it three wins from their past four games.

Melbourne, in its first outing since Simon Goodwin’s sacking, pushed the Bulldogs to the brink before falling 105-99, extending a poor run that’s seen them beat only West Coast and North Melbourne in their past 10 matches.

The sides last met earlier this year, with Hawthorn snapping a nine-game losing streak against the Demons in emphatic fashion, storming home with a six-goal-to-one final term to win 91-56.
