Teams:
Hawthorn take on the Western Bulldogs on Saturday, 1.45pm at Aurora Stadium. Only the loyal or very brave would give the Bulldogs a chance here, with the Hawks
expected to walk away with the points. If Hawthorn’s 45 point demolition of Port Adelaide last week is anything to go by, the Bulldogs will have to watch out. Saying all
that, however, the Bulldogs looked pretty good last week against the Bombers, even though they came out losers by 31 points. Even if they can hold and improve on last
week’s effort, though, the best the Bulldogs can expect here is a good loss.

AFL’s Hawks still missing Franklin, Sewell
Hawthorn stars Lance Franklin and Brad Sewell will again be missing when the AFL club faces the Western Bulldogs on Saturday.
But Will Langford, the son of four-time Hawks premiership great Chris, will make his AFL debut.
Franklin missed last weekend’s win over Port Adelaide with knee soreness and the Hawks were unwilling to risk recalling the star forward for Saturday’s Launceston game.
Midfield veteran Sewell, runner-up in the Hawks’ best and fairest count last year, was dropped last round and couldn’t win back a spot despite the suspension of Shaun Burgoyne.
Instead, 21-year-old defender Langford, elevated from the rookie list earlier this season, was Hawthorn’s only inclusion.
The Dogs lost Clay Smith to a season-ending knee injury.
Essendon have made four changes for Saturday night’s meeting with Greater Western Sydney, including giving defender Nathan Lovett-Murray his first AFL game since he was stabbed during a domestic incident in May.
Forward Stewart Crameri returns from injury and elevated rookie Cory Dell’Olio will play his first AFL game this year.
Jason Winderlich (soreness) and David Zaharakis (back) are out injured and defender Tayte Pears has been rested.
Collingwood have lost Clinton Young (hamstring) and Jarryd Blair (calf) for Saturday night’s match against Gold Coast, whose key defender Rory Thompson was named despite a heavy knock to the chest last round.
Brisbane will still be without injured pair Brent Moloney and Simon Black for Saturday night’s clash with Melbourne in Darwin, while Jack Viney returns for the Demons.
North Melbourne have dropped Michael Firrito and Levi Greenwood for Friday night’s encounter with Carlton, after their fade-out loss to the Lions.
Lindsay Thomas returns from suspension, with Andrew Swallow, Jack Ziebell, Aaron Mullett and Lachie Hansen all keeping their spots despite injury concerns.
Carlton captain Marc Murphy was named despite training only lightly on Thursday as he deals with a glute injury.
Mitch Robinson was named as an emergency, after missing last weekend with a shoulder injury.
Key forward Justin Westhoff returns from injury for Port Adelaide against St Kilda on Saturday, while the Power have lost Kane Cornes (suspension).
The Saints’ three changes include a debut for midfielder Tom Curren.
Shane Tuck and Bachar Houli have been added to Richmond’s extended squad for Saturday’s clash with Fremantle, who have lost Matthew Pavlich and Hayden Ballantyne.
West Coast have added Luke Shuey, Sharrod Wellingham and Adam Selwood to their squad for Sunday’s meeting with Sydney, who are missing Ben McGlynn.
Adelaide have dropped Matt Jaensch and lost Patrick Dangerfield (shoulder) for their game against Geelong, who are set to regain veterans Joel Corey and Corey Enright.
