Hawthorn Hawks vs Richmond Tigers 2013 AFL Round 19 preview and tips

Hawthorn further cemented their favouritism for this year’s flag with an impressive performance over second placed Essendon last week, 143 – 87.

All of Hawthorn’s stars were at their best and the Hawks certainly had the smell of finals football in their nostrils as they went about dismantling the Bombers.

It was hard to fault or find a possible chink in any aspect of the Hawks game and it’s impossible to see any opposing teams they are due to face the remainder of this season, being able to bring them undone.

After a gritty win in tough condition over Gold Coast and then a clinical effort against the in-form Fremantle, the Richmond Tigers travelled to Sydney last week to take on the Swans and left the SCG being defeated by 47 points.

It continued an up-and-down month for the Tigers who have struggled to put momentum together in this crucial lead up to the finals.

Being in sixth spot on the ladder and with four of their last five games here at the MCG, they’ll make the finals but it may be in the last spot available if they aren’t able to register some more consistent performances.
