Hawks not lacking confidence: Roughead

Hawthorn forward Jarryd Roughead says the two-time reigning premiers might have been beaten but they haven’t been knocked off their perch after a loss to West Coast.

The Hawks have been forced to play a semi-final for the first time in four-straight years of finals appearances and will face Adelaide at the MCG on Friday night but Roughead said they hadn’t suffered a confidence blow by their loss in the West.

“West Coast were very, very good but that’s why we got top four, you get that double chance and we get to play on our home deck on Friday night,” he said.
