Harvey signs on for 2014 for AFL ‘Roos

Former skipper Brent Harvey, 35, will play for AFL club North Melbourne in 2014 after signing a new one-year deal on Friday.

The veteran of 360 games will continue his career into a 19th season, the Kangaroos have announced.

Harvey missed the first six rounds because of suspension but the club’s games record-holder is averaging 24 disposals in 14 matches in 2013.

The 172cm, 75kg Harvey is a five-time North best and fairest winner.

Only two players, Hawthorn’s Michael Tiuck and Richmond’s Kevin Bartlett, have reached the 400-game milestone in the AFL.
