Richmond coach Damien Hardwick says he was wrong to criticise in-form AFL midfielder Dustin Martin.
Hardwick was fuming after the Tigers’ 70-point loss to Hawthorn, lamenting their shameful defensive efforts and suggesting Martin underperformed despite 39 disposals.
Hardwick said on Thursday he overstepped the mark, having been frustrated by a question regarding Martin’s Brownlow medal hopes in the post-match press conference.
