Hawthorn ruckman David Hale and North Melbourne defender Taylor Hine are available for round one of the AFL season after they were cleared of match-day reports.
The match review panel also cleared Brisbane defender Mitch Golby of high contact with Carlton captain Marc Murphy.
Hale and Hine were booked during Saturday’s scratch match at Craigieburn for forceful front-on contact.
But the panel ruled Hale had no realistic alternative when he bumped into Leigh Adams.
The panel also decided Hine made minimal high contact with Jack Gunston and it also was not a heavy enough clash to warrant a charge.
Golby was caught on video making contact with Murphy during Friday night’s NAB Cup final.
“It was the view of the panel that the majority of contact was made to Murphy’s shoulder, upper arm and body by Golby’s arm,” the AFL said.
“The panel determined the force used was below that required to constitute a reportable offence.”
